He was predeceased by: his parents, Henri Monfette and Angele Monfette. He is survived by: his wife Denise Requier-Monfette; his stepchildren, Christine Gruber, Ian Gruber (Trish) and Natasha Brinkmann (Martin); his grandchildren, Nicole Gruber (Cameron Healy) and Eric Gruber; his siblings, Odile Allard, Marie Lemire (Laurent), Marcel (Paulette), Alain (Gaetanne), Real and Roger (Diane); and also, Roland (Evangeline), Jacques, Gilles (Joyce), Guy, Charlie (Lynn), Richard (Carole), Suzanne Maisonneuve, Pierrette Requier and Marilyne Laferriere (Sylvain). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
