He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Friesen and Cornelius Friesen; and his siblings, Leonard, Doreen Raymond (Les), Bernice MacTavish (Hugh), Donnie McElrea (Bob), Millie Ranson (Lorne), Iris Kucher (Gene) and Janice Kerr (Don).
He is survived by: his children, Mark, Micaela and Maretta; his wife Edna; and his grandchildren, Oliver and Ayden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories so that we can hopefully put an end to this horrible disease.
