James Roy Bergum Obituary
James Roy Bergum - Edmonton's Burial & Cremation Professionals | Trinity Funeral Home Ltd. 780-474-466310530-116 Street Edmonton, AB T5H3L7.
It is with heavy hearts we say farewell to James Roy Bergum. Born on August 17, 1956 to James and Eileen Bergum in Wowota, Saskatchewan, Jim was the eldest of four children.
Whether it was showing his brothers and sister how to fix something, ride a motorcycle, watching TV together or bringing them treats, he was a great big brother.
Jim felt family was important and raised his daughters in Sylvan Lake, close to their grandma, aunt, uncle and cousins. He was a well-loved father and uncle to his daughters and nephews, building furniture and toys for them, teaching them practical skills and giving plenty of advice.
Jim and his brother Jeri spent many years working on the pipelines, following in the footsteps of their father and uncles. Later on, Jim became a teacher and enjoyed sharing his love of history, current events and his practical skills with students in Sylvan Lake and surrounding area.
Jim could always find someone to talk to. He was helpful to everyone he met, willing to share his time, his knowledge or just enjoy a good chat.
Jim leaves behind his brother Jade (Carol), daughters Carrie (Darren) and Laura (Cody), granddaughter Amary, nephews Chris and Cody and his special friend Glenna. He was predeceased by his brother Jeri, sister Jodi and grandson Damian.
