James McMechan Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James McMechan (Edmonton, Alberta), born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Minerva; and his siblings, Bea, Shirley and Doug.

He is survived by: his wife Valery; his children, Lorie and Corey (Dan); his grandchildren, Christine, Ashley (Ryan), Jamie and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Chelsea, Paxton, Kelly and Caleb; and his sisters, Judy, Lynda (Tom) and Pat (Bob). He is also survived by friends, extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name can be made to either Canadian Diabetes, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
