He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Brendan (Brittne), Ryan (Jennifer) and Katie (Ryan); his grandchildren, Donhaven, Logan and Kiya; and his siblings, Kendra (Blain), Bruce, Jim (Peggy) and Blair. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.

I had the distinct pleasure and honour of working with Howard both when he was a medic on the car and while he was a training instructor at the Fire Academy. Always there to install professionalism, care and compassion he wanted the best for those he cared for and taught. His attention to detail was incredible ! What I remember most about Howard though was his friendship ! Carry with you all the good he brought to all of us. RIP my friend”
