He is survived by: his father Dominic Garang; his siblings, Sandy Deng (Deng), Bol Garang (Amani), Garang "Mike" Garang, Deng Garang, Abang Garang, Thiik Garang, Adut Garang and Akuc "Nancy" Garang; his nieces and nephews, Ashwar, Joshua, Jeremiah, Nyankol, Nicholas, Koul, Biong, Dominic, Tahirah, Agang, Ku'ba, Kiingston, Isaiah, Areng, Tereza and Akon; his aunt Angelina Dut; his cousins, Sandra, Andaliza Mashar (Glenn Paddle), Mourater, Akam and Alech "Nina" Mashar; and his aunt Nyriak Arop.
