He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Bruynson and Henry Bruynson; and his siblings, Charles Andrew, Edward, Margaret (Gordon), Julie, Charles Henry, William and Alice.

He is survived by: his son Christopher Bruynson (Mackenzie); and his brother Gary Bruynson. He is also survived by his family and friends.
