She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Merkosky and Hedwig Merkosky; and her sisters, Marie Loerzel, Francene Merkowsky (Lawrence Merkosky) and Zita Merkosky.
She is survived by: her husband Frank; her children, Lesley Wabisca (Greg), Desmond (Christine), Nora Maguire and Maureen Paterson (Dean); her grandchildren, Marissa Maguire (Matt Flemmer), Erin Wabisca, Jaclyn van den Brink (Taylor), Nicole Mikrut (Tom), Arden Wabisca, Aidan Paterson, Alejandra Thiessen, Kathryn Paterson and Liam Thiessen; her great grandchild Thea Mikrut; and her siblings, Hedi Wurzer, Allan Merkosky and Diane Loewan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
