It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Byttynen (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Mattson and Saima Mattson; her siblings, Albert and Helen; and her husband Dick Byttynen (Dick).

She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen Dunnigan (Brian) and Jane Kirkwood (Brian); her brother Roy Mattson (Marie); her grandchildren, Jeff Kirkwood (Kimberly), Kathleen Hymanyk (Dean), David Kirkwood (Karen) and Ryan Dunnigan; and her great grandchildren, Austin, Kara Kirkwood, Jackson Hymanyk, Alice and Darwin Kirkwood. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, a graveside service for the immediate family will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
