Erika Kirsten Landry Obituary
Erika was born and raised in Victoria, BC and moved to Edmonton in 2015. Anyone who knew Erika was blessed to witness her brilliant sense of humour, her compassion and zest for life. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, sharing her experiences and her wit, she often brought the best out of those around her. Erika suffered for many years with various health issues. We are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain. Despite her challenges, Erika was an eternal optimist and continued to push forward.
Erika will be lovingly missed by her mother JoAnn, her sisters Brittney (Trevor) and Kayla (Jared). Her Auntie Bonnie (Anton) and Uncle Mike (Kimberly). Erika took great pride in being an amazing aunt and her loss will be considerably felt by her nephews Nolan, Parker and Myles and her niece Mackenzie. Perhaps most importantly, she will be missed by her dog Jayda who was her everything. Erika also has biological family who will be feeling her loss immensely.
Erika is predeceased by her loving grandparents Exelda and Donald Barratt.
We would like to express our gratitude to her wonderful dialysis team at Grey Nun's Hospital.
Erika would be disappointed if we didn't mention the importance of organ donation. A recipient of a kidney donation herself, she always stressed the importance of signing up to be an organ donor. In lieu of flowers we kindly ask that you donate to the Kidney Foundation in her name.
A celebration of her life will be held at Summerside Beach Club 1720 88 St SW, Edmonton, AB on Thursday, November 24th at 3:30pm. Please join us in remembering her short but beautiful life.
