We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2024, at the age of 83, Emil Kotyk (Edmonton, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Kotyk; his parents, Arsen Kotyk and Alexandra Kotyk; and his siblings, Paul Kotyk, Pauline Lemishka and Lydia Chalupa.

He is survived by: his daughter Yvonne Pawliw (Wayne); his grandchildren, Aryn, Devin (Candace) and Levi (Victoria); his great grandchildren, Parkyr, Allisyn, Hailey and Madison; his daughter Angie Szabo (Alex); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Samantha Szabo; and his sister Violet Lojczyc. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
