She was predeceased by: her father Johannes Petersen; her husband Joseph Stuart (Joe); her children, Cathy Stuart and Glenn Petersen; her mother Elizabeth Turcotte Petersen; and her siblings, Daniel Peterson, June Scott (Jim), Nora Petersen, Josie Petersen, Marie Pepper (Larry), Robert Petersen, Frederick Petersen and Richard Petersen.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Knoll (Clayton), Barbara Sommerfield (Mike), Joyce Hyman, Donna Brousseau (Denis), Judy Stuart, John Stuart and Marta Sanchez; her grandchild Torrie Guindon Knoll (Sean Guindon); her children, Robin Stuart, Jason Stuart (Kathy), Cole Sommerfield (Erin), Matthew, Cassandra Hyman, Caroline McQuillen (Tyler), Justine Brousseau, James Belanger, Jordon Stuart (Megan), Anna, Sam, Amira, Joseph, Eddison and Finnley Stuart; her grandchildren, Jaqueline, James, Jennifer Odera, Michael Moore, Jessica and Stephanie McLean; her great grandchildren, Ben, Liam Guindon, Emily Stuart, Stella Walsh, Cullen Sommerfield, Ashton McQuillen and Eleanor Stuart; and her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Gowan, Shirley Stuart of St. Stephen, Sally Smith of Calais and Maine. She is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
