“By accident I found this obituary today. Edgar's father Lorne was my Dad's (Bill Slavin's) brother, so Edgar was my first cousin. Because Dad was adopted by Slavins shortly after he was born (Dad's mother, Mable, died soon after bearing him), my family never knew the western branch of the Mitchells well although Dad made contact with all his birth brothers and sisters (Leila) at some point. I am sorry to hear of Edgar's death, and sorry for not making contact earlier. Alan [email protected]”
