It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Schrage in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Schrage and Harriet Schrage (MacDonald); his siblings, Gus, Kevin and Emma Chiasson; and his siblings-in-law, George Chiasson, Joe McNeil, C. Daniel McDonald, Bryan McDonald and Gloria.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Lachowiez (Robert) and Justin Schrage; his grandsons, Frank and Eddie Lachowiez; the mother of his children Mary Schrage; his siblings, Joe, Bill (Carolyn) and Karen Rhodes (Rick); his siblings-in-law, Donna MacArthur (Francis), Shelia McNeil, Rhona Burke (Winston), Bernice McDonald, Cheryl McDonald and Earl McDonald (Ann); his niece Cheryl Wurster (Rhodes); and his nephews, George Chiasson and Louis MacArthur. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feed Nova Scotia in honour of Doug's kindness and giving heart.
