He was predeceased by: his parents, Lilian and James; his siblings, Lilian and James; and his son-in-law Vince Hawke.

He is survived by: his wife Rene; his daughters, Julie Fountain (Vince), Amanda McMahon (Doug) and Lindsey Hawke; his grandchildren, Katherine Puittinen (David), Andrew McMahon (Jordan), William Fountain, Nicole Russell (Tyler) and Gordon Fountain; and his great grandchildren, Sydney, Ellie and Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Arthritis Society.
