She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard; her sister Trudy (Elvis); her children, Alicia (Dustin), Melissa (James), Andrew (Bethany) and Shaun (Ashley); her grandson Kiptyn; and her parents, Alfred Exler and Ida Exler.

Chain of Love became a favourite organization of Darlene's and, in lieu of flowers, any donations made to Chain of Love would be greatly appreciated.
