He was predeceased by: his parents, Teodore Zyla and Martha Zyla; and his siblings, Mike, Bill, Enna, Nick, Vera and Aleck.

He is survived by: his siblings, John, David, Mary and Kay; his wife Irene; and his children, Marilyn, Carol, Denise, Donna, Jason and Diane.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Park Memorial (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations can be made to Community Bible Church, with funds directed to supporting missions.
