It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Vriend (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Daniel may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Nicolai. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Richard (Jo-Ann), Ben (Leanne), Ken (Denise), Calvin (Audrey) and Anne Koning (Robin); and his siblings, Trix, Annie and Jan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church (10956 96 St, Edmonton, AB T5H2K5).
