She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Winton; her parents, Cecilia and Fred; her brother John; and her nephew Nathan Syska.
She is survived by: her siblings, Victor Newman and Andrea Renaud; her nieces, Lisa (Perry Boser) and Michelle (Sonke Martens); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nell and Lex; her nephew Victor Newman Jr. (Dawna); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Raina and Quinton; her nephew Jeff Newman (Cathy); her great-nephew Mathew (Cassandra); her nephew Jake Newman (Amber); and also, Ellory, Katelyn and Levi. She is also survived by her mother and three siblings.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church (11828 85 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5B3E9).
She often shared memories of growing up in the '30s and the love her parents bestowed on her and their charity to others who were suffering in those hard times.
