He was predeceased by: his wife Victoria Burkard (Vicki); his sister Eileen; and his brother-in-law Edward Fotty. He is survived by: his children, Bill Burkard (Margaret) and Jo-Ann Marshall; his grandchildren, Phil Zwiers (Robyn) and Leanne Jespersen (Jorgen); and his great grandchildren, Malakai, Amira, Scout, Iona and Nya.
