He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Emma, Cristina and Justin; his stepchildren, Christopher Neufeld and Lisa Marie Serra; and his siblings, Joao Lopes, Jose Antonio Lopes, Mariano Lopes, Fernando Lopes and Maria. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear relatives and friends.
