He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hunter and Margaret Hunter; and his brother Ian Hunter. He is survived by: his sister Joan Tietzmann; his nieces and nephews, Clayton Tietzmann (Ashley), Kristin Tietzmann, John Tietzmann (Vanessa) and Sarah Hunter (Carlos); his great-nephew Jeffery McColl; his siblings-in-law, Carol Hunter and Bernd Tietzmann; and his close friends, Ed Wedman, Rosie and Norm McDonough.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Shalom SKI Park (20750 57 Ave SW, Edmonton, AB T9G0H9).
