He was predeceased by: his sister Mona; and his brother-in-law Ken Cush. He is survived by: his close friend Madeline Thornton; his children, Paul (Toni), Nicole (Shane De Lorey) and Danielle (Chris Ziolkowski); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Carter, Lachlan, Peyton, Teagan and Rowan; and his siblings, Val Merchant (Jewel), Jim Merchant (Sharon) and Marianne Lysenko (Ken). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
