He was predeceased by: his brother Rick Laderoute; his parents, Fred "Bully" Laderoute and Maggie Laderoute; his son Trevor Gervais; and his siblings, Ernest, Robert, Brian "Elvis", Wayne, Alfred, Louise, Yvonne, Dorothy and Darlene.

He is survived by: his sons, Vincent Cardinal, Fabian Cardinal and Barry; and his siblings, Allan Laderoute, Harvey Laderoute (Randy), Ruth Reed, Reva Laderoute and Sherry Laderoute. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and one great great great nephew, numerous cousins and many neighborhood friends.
