With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Chornowol (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on May 22, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Walter; her parents, Laurie Bayzand and Anne; her sisters, Lorraine Martens and Janet Hinchcliff; and the father of her children Orest Verchomin.

She is survived by: her brother John Bayzand (Lynne); her children, John Verchomin, Laurie Verchomin (Brad Montchar), David Verchomin (Jackie O'Regan) and Michael Verchomin; her grandchildren, Candice MacPhee (Danny), David Johnson (Alison), Niko, Evan Ramsay, Tara Butler, Josie Verchomin and Edward Verchomin; her daughter Areta Norris; and her grandchildren, Stephen Norris (Brittany), Jason Norris (Stephanie), David Norris and Amanda MacNeil (Rob). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
