He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl. He is survived by: his children, Noreen Carlson (Glen), Garry Klassen (Charlotte), Gail Schwindt (Bill) and Deborah Klassen; his grandchildren, Chris Carlson (Jill), Kimberly Carlson, Kyla Sykes (Walter), Jessica McWilliam (Chris), Carly Klassen, Matthew Sykes (Katelyn) and Connor Schwindt; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Pearl, Reese, Walter and Rowan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital, Edmonton.
