He was predeceased by: his parents, Nils and Anna; and his brother Allan. He is survived by: his wife Annie; his children, Parker (Gwen) of Calgary, Martin (Laura) of Fort Saskatchewan and Sus-Ann Hagstrom (Chad) of New Norway; his brother Arne (Marilyn) of Edberg; and his sister-in-law Marj Sjogren.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Helge 's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation .
