With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Eleanor Staples of Eckville, Alberta, born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 2, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Patterson and Eleanor Patterson; her brother-in-law Mervin Schenk; and her daughter-in-law Rhondi Staples. She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Sheila Soehn (Ron) and Philip Staples (Kate); her grandchildren, Isaiah Staples (Jenna), Declan Staples, Keenan Staples and Joanna Staples; and her sisters, Ruth Schenk and Jean Bonk (Jon). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
