He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his friend Bill McVeigh; his siblings, Arol, Neil and Lois; and his parents, Edith and Noah.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Umari (Donna), David Halstead (Eleana), Arol, Monte (Deb), Kjelli (Jim) and Shawn Solberg (Paula); and his sister Kaye Rud. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Alberta 4-H, or the Rails to Trails project through the Town of Drumheller.
