He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon Gerdung of Rumsey, AB; his children, Albert Gerdung (Karen Morrison) of Brooks, AB, Karl Gerdung (Sandra) of Caroline, AB and Ruth Wandler (Calvin) of Red Deer; his grandchildren, Bryanne, Kayla, Levi, Kallie and Luke; his siblings, Alfred Gerdung of Rumsey, AB and Alice Sonnenberg (Ozzie) of Edmonton, AB; and his parents, Anna and Albert.
If anyone wishes to do so as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Community Cancer Clinic) who provided continued long term care and support to Hugo and family, or to the STARS Foundation which Hugo continually supported.
