He was predeceased by: his parents, Hendrina (Dien) and Frederick Dayman (Fred); his sister Sandra Grills; and his parents-in-law, David and Bunny Snideman.

He is survived by: his wife Alisa Dayman; his son Alexander Frederick Dayman; his siblings, Richard Dayman (Marie), Anne Bailey (Ed), Trudy Rowbottom (Richard) and Marian Schaffer (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Diana Watson (Bouke), Kristina Thompson (Mark), Rosemarie Fleury (Frank) and Bill Grills; and his great-nephew Grayson Brost. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
