She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Schafer; her parents, Evo Defoor and Doris Vandale; and her stepfather Len Vandale. She is survived by: her children, Silvie, Tamara and Jesse; her daughter-in-law Ashley; her son Stephen; her daughter-in-law Amie; her son James; and her daughter-in-law Dominica. She is also survived by her best friend Jerry Lake, four sisters and five brothers, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
