He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie and Archibald; his daughter-in-law Coleen Gilbert; and his grandson Jayson Tober. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Violet Gilbert-Richard (Napoleon), Dale Gordon Gilbert (Christine) and Randy Nels Gilbert. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
