He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara; his wife Norma; his sister-in-law Del; his nephew John; and his parents, Murray and Beatrice.

He is survived by: his daughter Margo (Corey); his stepdaughters, Wendy, Susan (Robert) and Robin; his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Hannah, Nathan, Andrew, Camron, Corey, Caden, Randy and Alexander; his brothers, Jack and Allan (Valerie); his nieces and nephews, Melaine and Murray (Nicole); his great-niece Olivia; his niece Carla (Clint); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Caden and Callum.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made in George's name to Ducks Unlimited.
