He was predeceased by: his son Richard Kapiniak; his parents, Frank Kapiniak and Olga Kapiniak; his sisters, Pauline Zachary and Anne Pearson; and his brother-in-law Willis Adams.
He is survived by: his son Joseph; his wife Joan Kapiniak; his children, Jackie Antunes (Tony), David Kapiniak, Jon Kapiniak, Gary Schulz (Joan) and Mike Schulz (Szabina); his siblings, Alec Kapiniak (Marlene), Victor Kapiniak and Joyce Adams; and his brother-in-law Harold Pearson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held.
