He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Pedersen and Annie Pedersen; his parents-in-law, Frank and Shirley Henderson; his siblings, Shirley Stewart and Ralph Pedersen; his brother-in-law Bob Stewart; and his great-nephews, Garrett Moore and Chandler Zawalykut.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Cindy MacPherson (Jeff) and Brent Pedersen (Robyn) of Carstairs, AB.; his grandchildren, Alexis Pedersen (Jordan), Brittney Pedersen (Marcel), Brayden Pedersen (Josette), Sophia MacPherson and Milli Donnelly; his great grandchild Althea Sallai; and his brothers, Derald Pedersen (Irene) and Lyle Pedersen (Donna).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Carstairs Community Hall (1100 Lackner Way, Carstairs, AB T0M0N0).
In lieu of flowers, at Vernon's request, donations, may be made to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance.
