He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis; his parents, Fred Batten and Ethel Batten; his sisters, June Lee and Leone Neufeld; his daughter-in-law Sue Batten; and his grandson Klinton Prohl.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Dunbar and Brian Batten; and his grandchildren, Katrina Chaytor (Rod), Ryan Batten (Saska), Amanda Batten (Dixie), Alyssa Landry (Brady) and Stacy Ruttle (Eric). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
