He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gehlert and Martha Gehlert; and his brother Art Gehlert. He is survived by: his wife Esther; his children, Pamela Brady (Doug), Patricia Nixon (Ken) and Lorne Gehlert (Kari); his siblings, Ted Gehlert (Margaret) and Ruth Hoffmann (Lorne); and his sister-in-law Edith Gehlert. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
