He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud and Phyllis; his former wife Margaret; and his brothers, Douglas, Leonard and Kenneth.

He is survived by: his close friend Connie Baier; his children, Ricky Krinbill (Judy) of Ottawa, Lee Krinbill (Rose Sawan) of Kinuso and Terry Krinbill (Tara) of Pierceland, SK; his stepchildren, Lisa Cameron (Craig) of Calgary, Joanne Kittle (Andrew) of Viking and Karmin Baier (Clayton Weiss) of Calgary; and his sister Pearl Lauck.
