He was predeceased by: his parents, Erie Grimes and Katherine Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Candlish of Daysland; his children, Melanie Gould (Allan) of St. Albert and Warren Grimes of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Carly Blemings (Mark), Tanya Grimes and Mya Grimes; and his great grandchildren, Davina and Maxwell Blemings.
