He was predeceased by: his parents, George Zimmer and Trace Zimmer (Wolbeck); his parents-in-law, Leonard, Emma and Florence Niehaus; his son-in-law Victor Shott; his sister Eileen Heck; his sister-in-law Donna Zimmer; his brothers, Lorne, Jack and Donald Zimmer; and his brothers-in-law, Robert, Clifford, Frank Niehaus and Ross Heck.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Niehaus; his children, Rhonda Shott (Bill Dewar), Richard Zimmer (Donna), Susan McLean (Ed), Roseann McNabb (Brad) and Lyle Zimmer (Annette); his grandchildren, Kristy Shott (Jamie Johnston), Amanda Austin (Matt), Melanie Block (Ryan), Evan Zimmer, Shane McLean, Derek McLean (Kellee), Riley McLean, Steven McNabb (Kerri), Stephanie McNabb (Harrison Church), Adam McNabb, Parker Zimmer and Joely Zimmer; his great grandchildren, Bently Shott, Jaxon, Ella Austin, Emily Block, Grant, Nathan McNabb, Kade and Dawson Church; his siblings, Gordon Zimmer, Garry Zimmer (Marvis), Robert Zimmer (Pat), Sharon Adams (Terry) and Theresa McTavish (Allan); and his siblings-in-law, Owen Niehaus (Marilyn), Roger Niehaus (Dyann), Nellie Zimmer, Carol Zimmer, Janet Zimmer and Pat Niehaus.
