He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Mabel; his siblings, Edna and Doug; his son-in-law Myles; his parents-in-law, Norbert and Ann Gau; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Gau, James Orr, Stan Badry and George Heck.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Ken (Val), Karen (Serge), David (Susanne), Duane (Holly) and Brenda (Jay); his siblings, Don (Doreen), Larry (Norma), Brian (Deb), Geraldine and Connie; and his siblings-in-law, Richard (Dianne), Gerald (Linda), Ralph (Donna), Jerome (Lynn), Ann and Cassie. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
