She was predeceased by: her son Vern Sawatsky; her parents, Jake Klassen and Kathrina Klassen; and her siblings, Sherry, Ed, Janie, Helen, Ernie and Leonard.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Carrie, Kevin, Yvonne, Wesley, Shane and Cameron; and her sisters, Kathrina and Dolly. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
