He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophile McCallum and Marie Anne McCallum; his siblings, Roy McCallum (Ariel McCallum) and Margaret McCallum; his daughter Marie; and his former wife Lena Hamelin.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Spence; his son Robert Jr. McCallum; his sisters, Lillian McCallum, Lena McCallum and Yvonne McCallum; and his grandchildren, Lyle Robert Shepard, Lindsay Marie Shepard, Larissa Ann Shepard, Leanne Shepard, Elizabeth Velma McCallum and Shelby Lynne Spence. He is also survived by numerous step-children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Misson View Funeral Chapel. A wake was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at 244 Northland Dr, Conklin, AB T0P1H1. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
