He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Thornton and John Thornton; his siblings-in-law, David Browne and Jacqueline Thornton; and his grandparents, John, Eleanore Thornton, Gus and Annie Rettschlag.
He is survived by: his siblings, Phil Thornton, Gerry Bamber (Wayne), Colleen Browne and Jocelyn McCormack (Gerald). He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
