It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Maria Tomasta of Coaldale, Alberta, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonia Bartosek and John Bartosek; her sister Georgia Bartosek; her daughter Karen Poitras; and her significant other Miro Tomasta.

She is survived by: her brother Tony Bartosek (Bernadette); and her children, Bob (Kathy), Ron (Marilyn), Diane Slywka (Tom), Nancy, Rick, Melenie of Graaf, Gary (Lana), Lorraine and Antonette. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
