He was predeceased by: his parents, John Usselman and Matilda; and his sisters, Katie, Margaret and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Usselman of Michael's Palliative Care Unit; his daughter Laura (Joel Makin); his grandchildren, Jordan (Tyler), Josh (Becca) and Desmond (Hailey); his daughter Corene (Russ Gregg); his grandchildren, Ben, Katie and Callianna; his son John J. (Stephanie Lyons); his sisters, Donna, Rose (Ken) and Ann; and his sister-in-law Patricia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
