He was predeceased by: his siblings, Margie, Fred and Sophie; and his grandson Robby Gelderman. He is survived by: his wife Maggie Leffers; his siblings, Bill, George, Ben (Dorothy), Minnie Nyman and Gina Brienen; his children, Regina Wierenga (Harold), Ron Hofsink (Jackie), Irene Gelderman (Dave), Rose Tams (Glenn), Bill Hofsink (Laura) and Ed Hofsink (Dorothy); and his in-laws, Ploon Hofsink, Annette Leffers, Mary Kok, Andy and Helen Leffers. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and fifty-seven great grandchildren.
A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Coaldale Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Canadian Reformed Church (2705 21st Ave, Coaldale, AB T1M0C1).
