He was predeceased by: his parents, Hulda Pries and Christian Pries. He is survived by: his wife Maria Pries; his son Geoff Pries (Nicole); his parents-in-law, Isobel and Siegfried Stein; his siblings, Adolf Pries (Toni), Chuck Pries (Tecala) and Ingrid Barrett; his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Stein, Marianne Sheets and Zeke Stein; and his niece Cindy Pries. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
