He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucile Neal and Bill Neal; and his brother Merle. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Evans; his children, Patricia Bracken (Darren), Alex Neal (Jaime) and Tom Neal (Chenay); his grandchildren, Keisha, Trey, Ryan, Elizabeth, Marshall, Maxx and Sam; his nephews, Wes, Les, Rusty, Rodney and Jay; and his niece Heather.
